box.net support?

Nov 19, 2011 at 4:05 PM

Hi,

Is box.net supported? Are there any code samples available?

I could not find any sample code (or tests) on  the AppLimit.CloudComputing.SharpBox.NUnit2010 project.

Thanks,

Horacio.-

It doesn't look like the latest API is being used for box.net, as far as authorization with the tokens (like Dropbox), but you should be able to get it going with this:

BoxNetConfiguration config = BoxNetConfiguration.GetBoxNetConfiguration( );

// Use GenericNetworkCredentials class for Box.Net.
GenericNetworkCredentials cred = new GenericNetworkCredentials();
cred.UserName = username;
cred.Password = password;

CloudStorage storage = new CloudStorage();
storageToken = storage.Open(config, cred);

Thanks, Dustin.  I'll give it a try.

However, I guess box.net will want us to do all the oAuth thing (like Dropbox).

Are there any plans to implement it?

I would like to use Sharpbox for box.net, but maybe should I use a 'specialized' library?

Is there actually someone  using Sharpbox with box.net?

Hi,

currently we are not using the REST API of Box.NET because the security scheme is more or less a proprietary one. Currently we the box.NET webdav interface.

Cheers
