Hi,

I tested the provider and it's great to get this kind of support from you. Currently I runned this provider against our reference unittest and it looks like some stuff goes wrong on my machine (see attachment). I will to add the provider into the experimental area during the next days. If you wan to sou can get access to the project to maintaine this provider. (I would realy happy about this). After it becomes a real stable way I would transfer this provider from the staging area into the core library.

Thanks a lot
Dirk

Hi,

Well I couldn't resist and have spent some time adding an FTP Provider
for SharpBox. It would be great if you could take a look and see if it
is up to scratch.

I have already made use of it in our Backup Software and it all seems
to work. There were speed issues associated with the constant calling
of (GetFolder) particularly at the root level so I added a small
amount of caching to quickly return Directories we already know are
there. Of course since we refresh the children of each Directory every
time we call (GetFolder) it only helps a little.

Perhaps this caching could be put into the base classes to speed up
the checking and validating of Directories.

Attached is a ZIP File. Interested to hear what you think.

Cheers
