Access to version history of the cloud storage service

description

The most cloud storage services offers access the older versions of stored files in folder. SharpBox should add a set of APIs to support access to earlier versions of a specific filesystem entry.

That's right I will extend the FileEntries within a version history. Through this extension it should become possible to drill down the version history and downloading special older versions with your client. What kind of client are you working on?

Thanks for your reply. I just start to play with it, and hopefully it can be used as some kind of note / paper collector that I can read later on my iPad .

Contacted Dropbox to check what is happening with API's history functions.

I got a reply from Dropbox.
They said that eventually this feature will be available.
Waiting another reply, when I receive it, I'll add another comment here.

This feature will not be available for now, and they really don't know when it comes out.

I have received the following reply from the team:

I don't want to sound too negative, but it seems that once the API was released, Dropbox then focused all of their efforts on their "official mobile clients", and they've recently obviously been really busy getting DB1.0 (hooray!) out of the door. And it sounds like they're still working hard on polishing up the New Sharing Model for general release. So be prepared for a long wait for new API features... (of course I'd absolutely love to be proved wrong!).
I think the amount of new Dropbox apps still being released, clearly shows the current API is "sufficient" for many many people.

Due the sad reply from them, I'll change the "Release" field to "Unassigned"
