Accessing WebDAV

Jul 28, 2011 at 1:21 PM

Hi,

I am trying to use the WebDAV features of this awesome library. I have already implemented a full DropBox solution but I am stuck with WebDAV

I use this code :

            Dim oCred As ICloudStorageCredentials
            Dim oConf As StorageProvider.WebDav.WebDavConfiguration
            Dim csStorage As CloudStorage

            ' add the account information
            oCred = New StorageProvider.GenericNetworkCredentials
            With CType(oCred, StorageProvider.GenericNetworkCredentials)
                .UserName = sUsername
                .Password = sPassword
            End With

            ' instanciate a cloud storage configuration, e.g. for dropbox
            oConf = New StorageProvider.WebDav.WebDavConfiguration(New Uri(sURI))

            ' instanciate the cloudstorage manager
            csStorage = New CloudStorage()

            Dim token As ICloudStorageAccessToken
            ' open the connection to the storage
            token = csStorage.Open(oConf, oCred)

It successfully opens the location with my credentials however when I try to do things like m_csStorage.GetRoot  it returns 'Nothing'  and any attempts at GetFolder or GetFile all fail.

Can you offer any assistance ?

Sure, I'll figure out how to do so and get back to you.

Hi,

I have no idea where these unit test are or how I would run them. I could open up my WebDAV Server to you if that would help speed up the debugging ?

Cheers.

If it's possible just do it and send me the data via private message :-)

Hi,

I am working on this, I upgraded my WebDAV server recently and now I
am having issues adding users. Stay tuned.

Cheers.

Hi, I am having the same problem to connect to WebDav server.

And I found that if the URI port is not 80, the library seems to ignore it, so I could only connect to port 80...

I think I've solved this with a patch (ID#10102) I just uploaded. Let the guys assess it and I'm sure it will be integrated soon.

Cheers.

Hi,

I just checked the patch with our unittest and applied them into the trunk code. It will be part of the planned 1.1.1 release.

Thanks for fixing this
Dirk
